From art auctions to museums and galleries at world class learning institutions, as well as numerous private clients, Matt Longchamps, a New England based photographer has been documenting these facets of our world for over 20 years. Matt is a graduate of Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography with an Associate in Specialized Technology degree in photography, as well as being a magna cum laude graduate of UMass Boston with a B.A. in art focusing on art history. Presently, he is re-contextualizing perception of art and its materials using macro photography with works he has created. He is looking to create connections and explore what’s possible through visual constructs that defy conventional viewing as well as constantly seeking to push boundaries and blur edges - looking towards the unfamiliar, the imagined, the new. This re-examination of art is not limited to the exploration of his own creations - he is also seeking collaboration with artists, fabricators, and crafters to explore what can emerge across disciplines. Additionally, Matt is open to new photography opportunities specializing in art and cultural documentation in museums or private collections. He brings a sharp eye for detail, expertise in digitization standards, and a deep understanding of museum best practices.
